About this major
Political Science focuses on the theory and practice of politics and government. Students learn about political systems, public policies, international relations, and political behavior, preparing them for careers in public service, law, and business.

Academic Balance
Political science is awesome. It is probably the easiest major here. The classes fill up very quickly, so you can only take one lower division class per quarter. Still, they are much easier to study for than any Math or Stem class. I know it's pretty hard to get into because of waitlisting, so I would recommend trying Public Affairs instead.
This major focuses on experiential learning and there are many ways to apply classroom concepts to projects, presentations, and collaborative work, which I've really enjoyed and has helped me prepare a lot for post graduate work!
As a pre-law student hoping to go to law school I think political science major is perfect. We have to do alot of readings and papers which is importing prep for law school.
i think it’s really interesting but i feel like it’s hard to find others that are so poli sci and connect with them as the major is competitive kinda
i think the major is really interesting, but classes are super difficult to get and it is hard to make friends in classes
