However, I found the welcoming process to be very short and way too fast paced for me, which made it not enjoyable. I started to struggle mentally due to the work and would not recommend.”

You must be able to motivate yourself through sleepless nights and feel accomplished by your small progress in order to push through the never ending projects.
The major is heavily project based. Demand a lot of work for studio class. Don’t have much time for other classes either in or out of the department. The process and be rewarding and frustrating, sometimes depending on the teaching faculty. For some it’s sleep depriving and mentally challenging. Many people switch major in their first or second year.
Architecture is project intensive, most of the time is reviewing and remaking your ideas to make it better. And it could be overwhelming at first but once used to it it’s a fun major overall.

Architecture will not lose its meaning because of the depression of the real estate industry. Architecture is a comprehensive study on space, architectural transformation and architectural history. As a new generation of architects, you need to maintain a flexible mindset, learn more interdisciplinary knowledge and integrate it.
Studio design work, it's extremely time consuming but very rewarding when you produce something impressive .
