Economics major definitely gives us plenty of career choices -- either going to industry such as consulting, banking, data analyst etc, or research field might be another way. Economics is real-life based which involves many case studies and theory learnings.
Economic knowledge alone won't secure you a job, it's too broad and intuitive. You need to acquire substantial expertise to excel in specific roles. Many pursue graduate studies to gain more time for learning and enhance their employability.
I do believe economics is sth everyone should learn. True learning is only when you make it to the level of you can apply it to the real world.
Fantastic major, can easily switch to other majors as a solid fundamental. Need some meth background like AP Cal, not heavy coursework but might have intense test schedule
Actually I’m major in Econ/Data Science, I have taken several economics courses in USC, I think the depth and difficulty of economics courses is much harder than other colleges.
I chose to major in Economics because I’ve always been curious about how individual decisions and policy choices shape our society and environment. Economics offers a unique framework that connects abstract theories with real-world issues, such as sustainability, urban development, and technological innovation.
great. I recommend this major although it may require some math background to easily understand the subject, it is fulfilling to learn economics.
Pretty cool major. I’m a mix of Economics and Data Science, so there’s a lot math but it’s a very versatile major!
Take professor RashidIan , bayrak and some others and professor at pinto. Everyone else is unhelpful.
It is a pretty decent experience to be an Econ major student at USC. Although I would not choose this major ever again, I would still recommend it to anyone who has completely no idea on what to do in their future!
