great major, cant say much about upperdivs but general courses and prereqs were relatively fine and manageable. hardest part is finding a lab to do research with and managing your time with extracurriculars and keeping a good gpa.

Neuroscience is an extremely difficult but rewarding major. It was very annoying to have to wait 2 years to start my upper division courses, so a lot of students drop before their 3rd year or do not enjoy the content, but I was very grateful to find the content rewarding. You realize very quickly how fast the field is changing but also how fortunate you are to learn from some of the field's brightest. I really enjoyed the courses and found a lot of my passions from the majory even though the core courses were a bit poorly structured. However, you learn so much during the core courses that you end up finding a niche you want to further explore and the electives help you further pursue it.
