Being a biology major at NYU is definitely difficult as the class sizes start off very large. A lecture will consist of around 700 people on average at first. NYU also likes to weed out as many people as possible in the beginning because of this, making it more difficult. In the beginning, community is hard to find. It is not easy to get individualized attention. However, if able to stick it through, there is a good community as less people are left in the major.
