About this major
Public Health focuses on protecting and improving the health of populations through education, policy making, and research for disease prevention. Students learn about epidemiology, health policy, global health, and community health strategies.

Health promotion has been one of my favorite things with taking a broader perspective on someone’s overall health by looking at the bigger picture of what contributes to one’s health. Rather than just focusing on biology or the individual, health promotion looks at the structures in place and how they have historically affected how we got to where we are.
Although it’s difficult its a very flexible major!! I really like my courses and like that study avroad is apart of the major.
I love my major i think it’s a good major for those who want to be premed. You get to knock off essential classes with the major
It is very fun to be able to help people out and help the community.
