It's a typical STEM major that requires enrollment into the Life Sciences core curriculum. Hardest parts were the organic chemistry courses, everything else was pretty light. Definitely prepares you for graduate school.
My major is called Human Biology and Society, which is very interesting and is similar to public health where we deal with tackling all sorts of problems ranging from environmental issues, to epidemics, societal antibiotic resistance, sleep, genetics, and a lot more.
I am a pre-PT student, this is the only major in our school that offers enough physiology course in the track of applied physiology.
Human Biology is a great major for people looking to go into the medical field. It exposes you to a wide array of subjects during pre-req classes and allows for interesting areas of concentration within physiology and anatomy in upper division classes
Heavily prepares you for career! Highly recommend in health related fields. If trying to become doctor, definitely choose!!
I think the major requires a lot of work, but so does the field I want to go into so I think it’s worth it. Definitely developing my study skills.
I think this major is valuable as it can be used for different branches of healthcare and fulfills the prerequisites for medical school
I chose it to more easily fulfill requirements for Anasthesiologist Assistant School. It is very interesting tho.
